Dr. Garry Cameron

Superintendent

Welcome to Needles Unified School District, thank you for visiting our website.  At Needles School District you will find a district committed to education for your students and connections with our community.  Half of our Needles staff graduated from Needles High School.   Go Mustangs!!

You will find our schools at Needles Unified School District are very welcoming.  From registration for Transitional Kindergarten through to our high school graduation ceremony, we are here to help your student and you with support and solutions.  Our school district focus for the year is captured in the annual school district Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).  For a brief LCAP summary, there are three areas we will continue to work on this year and in the future: safety and security to include cyber security, improving student attendance, and improving student assessment performance.  If you would like to participate in our meetings, to provide LCAP input please contact your student’s principal or our district office at 760-326-4057.

With an overall class size ratio of under 20:1 in Needles Unified School District, we place an emphasis on student academics and building relationships.  The strength of our academics is exemplified by our 2-year and 4-year college attendance rates for graduating seniors of about 70% over the past three years.  In addition to an emphasis on academics, over 60% of our grade 6-12 students participate in extra-curricular activities.  Our athletics are strong like our culture.  Needles student-athletes often compete in state tournaments where they are very successful.

Again, welcome to Needles Unified School District, we are happy you are here.

 Go Mustangs!
